About This Place

Located in the heart of Houston’s vibrant 77009 neighborhood, D&T Drive Inn is a beloved local bar, pub, and sports bar that perfectly captures the spirit of a warm, inviting community hangout. This is not just any watering hole – it’s a carefully curated space where beer aficionados, casual drinkers, and sports fans alike find their perfect spot to unwind and celebrate.

What sets D&T Drive Inn apart is its thoughtfully crafted beverage selection that ranges from iconic classics to hard-to-find craft brews and specialty drinks. Whether you’re craving a robust Russian Stout, a refreshing Ingenious Space IPA, or a flight of seasonal Pumpkin Beers, the taps and fridges brim with diverse options tailored to all palates. Fans of classics will appreciate the Guinness, while adventurous sippers can explore the unique Piraat Rum Barrel or a chilled Michelada. The frozen drink specials, like the addictive Frozen Apple Cider and Frozen Sangria & Rosé, bring a playful chill to sunny Houston days, with many guests noting their deceptively smooth, dangerously delicious nature.

Wine lovers are not forgotten here, either. With an impressive variety featuring everything from bright and crisp Sauvignon Blanc to rich and velvety Pinot Noir, complemented by sparkling Prosecco and aromatic Chardonnays, the wine list offers a well-rounded experience for those seeking something beyond beer. Draft offerings such as homemade sangria and shandy add fresh, fruity twists to the drink menu, while specialty craft bottles like Saint Arnold’s famed Boiler Room Bomber and Westmalle Triple elevate the experience with rarer finds.

Though D&T Drive Inn doesn’t operate as a traditional restaurant, its food scene is alive and thriving thanks to a rotating lineup of top-notch local vendors. The featured Mortuary BBQ is a particular crowd-pleaser, with their pulled pork nachos crowned as a signature indulgence—smoky, savory, and perfectly paired with any drink in hand. Guests rave about the high quality and creative food pairings, from small plates like a “Small Boat of Candy” to the hearty Friday Burger Night that makes for an epic casual meal.

Atmospherically, D&T Drive Inn radiates an organic, neighborhood vibe that makes guests feel like they’ve found their home away from home. Its layout offers both cozy indoor seating and a covered patio, making it a versatile spot to catch an Astros game or to simply relax under the Texas sky. The bartenders are frequently praised for their personable and knowledgeable service, adding a welcoming human touch that turns first-timers into loyal regulars. As Eric Dube put it, “Great quality beer and choices for every profile! I felt at home in this bar. Incredible taste. Friendly staff!”

Kevin Sinclair’s enthusiasm mirrors this sentiment vividly: “D&T has such an organic and neighborhood feel to it. My kind of bar. Lots of Crafted Beer to choose from on tap… The Frozen Apple Cider is so good that you can barely taste the alcohol.” Joy Williams highlights its perfect game-day atmosphere, “Cool neighborhood spot to watch Astros game. Serve beer n limited wine only. Inside, bar seating covered patio outside. Food is a vendor who cooks in the back of the patio area.”

For those seeking a relaxed, inclusive place with an outstanding variety of beers and wines, paired with top-tier food pop-ups and an authentic local vibe, D&T Drive Inn delivers consistently. It’s a rare gem in Houston’s bar scene where passion for craft beverages meets genuine community connection, making every visit a memorable experience.

What an unbelievable place to experience! D&T has such an organic and neighborhood feel to it. My kind of bar. Lots of Crafted Beer to choose from on tap. Also well stocked refrigerators with many more options. I ended up ordering the Frozen Apple Cider drink, and oh boy, be careful cause it's so good that you can barely taste the alcohol. My friend ordered a Frozen Sangria and she loved it, and I got to sample some, and it was on point. Her husband Mike ordered a Chocolate Milk Stout, that I tried and it was nice and smooth. There was a birthday party going on out in the back for a 2 year old, and man oh man, my inner 3, 4 year old self was jealous because they had Cookie Monster in costume, and I remember having a stuffed Cookie Monster, and I wish we had b-day parties like that when I was a very young lad. Friendly, outgoing bartenders and a natural positive vibe the whole time I was there at D&T. One more note; I ordered the sweet candy sample which was loaded with Gummy Bears and various gummies to satisfy my sweet tooth. Can't wait to come back and visit.

Have been going to this neighborhood bar for years and it does not disappoint. Bartenders are amazing and very personable. They only serve beer and wine but their draft list is . They don’t serve food but will have pop ups. Mortuary BBQ and Bar-tek are two of the main vendors and their food is top notch.

D&T Drive Inn is a true hidden gem relaxed, full of charm, and always a great time. The drinks are cold, the atmosphere is unbeatable, and the staff is what really sets this place apart. Amanda, Jake, and Alyssa are absolutely fantastic welcoming, quick, and just all-around awesome people. Whether you’re swinging by for one drink or settling in for the night, they make you feel right at home. Can’t recommend it enough!

Went here for the first time last night and had a great time! The patio area is huge and there's plenty of seating. There's over 50 beers on tap with a bunch of varying options and their frozen drinks are delicious as well. There was a DJ who played great music (I'm not sure if the bar hired him or if he was there for the birthday party). There's also plenty of parking in a lot across the street. There was food offerings as well. I love the vibe and atmosphere!
